Indo-French Academic Alliance is an alliance of Indian and French academic institutions for academic collaboration, academic cooperation, student exchange, and faculty exchange between the two countries,s as well as to promote research and academic understanding between India and France. Moreover, the IndoFrench Academic Alliance aims to bring academia, industry, and the people of two countries together for mutual collaboration.

Indo-French Academic Alliance was formed on October 15, 2020, in the city of Lyon, France during the second Knowledge Summit between India and France. The founding ceremony was conducted before the French and Indian Government officials. The French Embassy Scıence Counselor and the French Education Minister Ms. Frederique Vidal expressed their congratulations on the formation of this official alliance.

The Alliance is based in both India and France. The Chairmanship of the IndoFrench Academic Alliance changes every year between the Alliance Members alternating between Indian and French members every year.
